# Update firm user mapping

`PUT /firmusers/{id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.smokeball.com`
- URL: `https://api.smokeball.com/firmusers/{id}`
- Auth: API key in header `x-api-key` and API key in header `Authorization`

Updates a user mapping in the firm associated with the authenticated client.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, required

## Request body

- FirmUserDto: Represents a mapping between a user and a staff member in a firm.
  - `userId` string, nullable: Unique identifier of the associated user.
  - `staffId` string, nullable: Unique identifier of the associated staff member..

## Response `202`

When request is accepted. Returns a hypermedia 'Link' object of the user to be updated.

## Other responses

- `400`: When staff or user has not been provided.
- `403`: When staff does not belong to the firm.
- `404`: When 'FirmUser' does not exist.
