# A chatbot captured a lead: a contact request, an appointment booking or a callback request. The event names the lead; read its contents with the leads endpoint of the chatbot.

`POST lead.created` (webhook)

Sent as POST to the account webhook URL and to chatbot webhooks. Headers: X-Smartwebchat-Event, X-Smartwebchat-Timestamp, X-Smartwebchat-Signature (HMAC over timestamp and body). For backward compatibility, data carries the full lead object under data.lead (the example is shortened); the feed carries only leadId.
