# Send message to chatbot

`POST /api/v1/chatbots/{id}/chat`

## Response `200`

Streaming text response or JSON with { reply, sessionId }

## Other responses

- `409`: A request with this Idempotency-Key is still being processed. Retry after the seconds given in Retry-After (2).
- `422`: Idempotency-Key was already used with a different request body. Use a new key for a new request.
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded: 600 requests per minute per account across all /api/v1/ routes. Wait for the seconds given in Retry-After (60) and retry.
