# Change branding (partial update)

`PATCH /api/v1/chatbots/{id}/branding`

## Request

Partial update: only the fields you send change; {} changes nothing. hidePoweredBy true requires a white-label agreement (403 whitelabel_required); the plan alone does not grant it. privacyUrl and imprintUrl take an http(s) URL of at most 500 characters, or an empty value to remove the link.

## Other responses

- `400`: A field is invalid, or the body is not a JSON object
- `401`: Invalid or missing API key, or a read key
- `403`: whitelabel_required
- `404`: Chatbot not found (also for a chatbot of another account)
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded: 600 requests per minute per account across all /api/v1/ routes. Wait for the seconds given in Retry-After (60) and retry.
