# Update managed steps for the job.

`PUT /managed-steps/jobs/{jobId}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.smartrecruiters.com/interview-templates`
- URL: `https://api.smartrecruiters.com/interview-templates/managed-steps/jobs/{jobId}`
- Auth: one of:
  - OAuth 2
    - Authorization code: `https://www.smartrecruiters.com/identity/oauth/allow`
    - Client credentials
    - Token URL: `https://api.smartrecruiters.com/identity/oauth/token` scopes: `interview_templates_manage`
  - API key in header `x-smarttoken`

Updates managed steps for the job's hiring process.
Allows to decide whether for given hiring stage and step it is required to have an interview template assigned.

## Path parameters

- `jobId` string, uuid, required

## Request body

- ManagedStepsExternal
  - `states` ManagedStateExternal[]: List of managed states
    - `stage` 'NEW' | 'IN_PROGRESS' | 'INTERVIEW' | 'OFFER': Name of the hiring stage that contains managed steps
    - `steps` ManagedStepStatusExternal[]: List of managed steps for the hiring stage
      - `step` string: Name of the hiring step
      - `templateRequired` boolean: Flag indicating whether this step is required to have an interview template assigned

## Response `200`

Returns managed steps.

  - `states` ManagedStateExternal[]: List of managed states
    - `stage` 'NEW' | 'IN_PROGRESS' | 'INTERVIEW' | 'OFFER': Name of the hiring stage that contains managed steps
    - `steps` ManagedStepStatusExternal[]: List of managed steps for the hiring stage

## Other responses

- `401`: Unauthorized
- `403`: Forbidden
- `404`: Job Not found
