# Exchange credentials for an access token

`POST /oauth/token`

## Request

SmartRecruiters will call this endpoint to exchange the credentials received from Partner for an access token.

## Request body `application/x-www-form-urlencoded`

- TokenInput
  - `grant_type` 'client_credentials', required
  - `client_id` string, required
  - `client_secret` string, required

## Response `200`

Access token

- AccessToken
  - `access_token` string, required
  - `expires_in` integer, required: Indicates for how many seconds the token will be valid from the moment it was generated.
