# Check string status

`GET /strings-api/v2/projects/{projectUid}/processes/{processUid}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.smartling.com`
- URL: `https://api.smartling.com/strings-api/v2/projects/{projectUid}/processes/{processUid}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

If an **Add strings** request takes longer than 60 seconds to process, a `202` response will be returned, indicating that the process of creating strings is continuing but not yet complete. This response will include a `processUid` value which can be used to check the progress of the request.

This request can return:
  * `"processState": "OPEN"` which indicates that the request is still continuing.
  * `"processState": "CLOSED"` indicates the request has successfully completed.
  * `"processState": "FAILED"` means the request could not be completed.

Processes have a limited lifespan after they are complete. This request will fail if you specify an expired `processUid`.

## Path parameters

- `projectUid` string, required: Unique identifier of a Smartling project — 9 lowercase alphanumeric characters.
- `processUid` string, required: Unique identifier of an async process (UUID v4).

      - `createdDate` string: Date when the create strings request was submitted.
      - `modifiedDate` string: Date when the create strings request was last modified.
      - `processState` 'OPEN' | 'CLOSED' | 'FAILED': State of the request
      - `processStatistics` object: Information on the created or updated string
        - `errored` string: strings that had errors
        - `processed` string: strings processed
        - `requested` string: strings requested
        - `skipped` string: strings skipped
      - `processUid` string: Unique identifier of an async process (UUID v4).

## Other responses

- `400`: Provided request parameters are invalid.
- `401`: Provided credentials are not valid.
- `429`: Too many simultaneous API requests.
- `500`: Unexpected error
