# Authorize job

`POST /jobs-api/v3/projects/{projectId}/jobs/{translationJobUid}/authorize`

## Request

This authorizes all content within a job. A job can only be authorized when it has content and is in an AWAITING_AUTHORIZATION state.

## Path parameters

- `projectId` string, required: Unique identifier of a Smartling project — 9 lowercase alphanumeric characters.
- `translationJobUid` string, required: Translation job unique identifier — 12 lowercase alphanumeric characters.

## Request body

- AuthorizeJobRequest
  - `localeWorkflows` AuthorizeJobItemRequest[]
    - `targetLocaleId` string: Locale identifier. Either a 2-letter language code (`en`) or a language-region pair (`en-US`). The language part is always lowercase; the region part is always uppercase.
    - `workflowUid` string: Workflow unique identifier — 12 lowercase alphanumeric characters.

## Other responses

- `400`: Validation error when authorizing a job
- `401`: Provided credentials are not valid.
- `429`: Too many simultaneous API requests.
- `500`: Unexpected error
