# Process batch action

`PUT /job-batches-api/v2/projects/{projectId}/batches/{batchUid}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.smartling.com`
- URL: `https://api.smartling.com/job-batches-api/v2/projects/{projectId}/batches/{batchUid}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Supports two batch actions:

**REGISTER_FILE** - Adds given file URI to the initial file name list for uploading.
Creates a new batchItem if the batch is in ADDING_FILES status.

**CANCEL_FILE** - Indicates that file will not be uploaded.  
Changes batchItem status to CANCELED and writes reason to "errors" column.

## Path parameters

- `projectId` string, required: Unique identifier of a Smartling project — 9 lowercase alphanumeric characters.
- `batchUid` string, required

## Request body

- BatchActionRequestV2: Describes the action to be done with the Batch
  - `action` 'CANCEL_FILE' | 'REGISTER_FILE', required
  - `fileUri` string, required: File URI to be cancelled or registered. Must not be blank and must not exceed 512 characters.
  - `reason` string: any text to describe the reason the file is canceled

## Response `200`

SUCCESS

- EmptyResponse
  - `response` object, required
    - `code` 'SUCCESS', required: Indicates whether the response was successful or what error has occurred.
    - `data` object: Always null.

## Other responses

- `400`: Validation error
- `401`: Provided credentials are not valid.
- `404`: Batch provided in path is not found
- `500`: Unexpected error
