# Delete Exam

`DELETE /v1/installs/{installSid}/courses/{courseSid}/exams/{examSid}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.smarterproctoring.com`
- URL: `https://api.smarterproctoring.com/v1/installs/{installSid}/courses/{courseSid}/exams/{examSid}`
- Auth: API key in header `token`

Performs a soft delete on the specified exam, marking it as deleted without permanently removing data.<br/><br/>The exam will no longer appear in active listings but its data is retained.

## Path parameters

- `installSid` string, required: Unique SID of the application install. Pattern: `AI` + 32 hex chars.
- `courseSid` string, required: Unique SID of the course. Pattern: `CU` + 32 hex chars.
- `examSid` string, required: Unique SID of the exam to delete. Pattern: `EX` + 32 hex chars.
