# Update exam assignments

`PUT /v1/installs/{installSid}/exams/{examSid}/assignments`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.smarterproctoring.com`
- URL: `https://api.smarterproctoring.com/v1/installs/{installSid}/exams/{examSid}/assignments`
- Auth: API key in header `token`

## Path parameters

- `installSid` string, required: Unique SID of the application install. Pattern: `AI` + 32 hex chars.
- `examSid` string, required: Unique SID of the exam whose assignments are being modified. Pattern: `EX` + 32 hex chars.

## Request body

- UpdateExamAssignment: Payload for adding, removing, or updating exam assignments.
  - `added` Model52[]: Array of new assignments to create.
    - `examOpenDate` string, date, nullable: When the exam opens for taking.
    - `examCloseDate` string, date, nullable: When the exam closes for taking.
    - `schedulingOpenDate` string, date, nullable: When scheduling opens.
    - `schedulingCloseDate` string, date, nullable: When scheduling closes.
    - `targets` Targets: Targets for the new assignment.
      - `enrollmentSids` string[]: Enrollment SIDs to assign to this assignment.
      - `sectionSids` string[]: Section SIDs to assign to this assignment.
  - `removed` string[]: Array of assignment SIDs to delete.
  - `updated` Model60[]: Array of existing assignments to update.
    - `sid` string, required: SID of the assignment to update.
    - `examOpenDate` string, date, nullable: Updated exam open date.
    - `examCloseDate` string, date, nullable: Updated exam close date.
    - `schedulingOpenDate` string, date, nullable: Updated scheduling open date.
    - `schedulingCloseDate` string, date, nullable: Updated scheduling close date.
    - `targets` Model59: Target mutations for this assignment.
      - `added` Model55: Targets to add.
        - `enrollmentSids` string[]: Enrollment SIDs to add to this assignment.
        - `sectionSids` string[]: Section SIDs to add to this assignment.
      - `removed` Model58: Targets to remove.
        - `enrollmentSids` string[]: Enrollment SIDs to remove from this assignment.
