# Convert a PDF (PowerPoint export) into an editable PPTX deck

`POST /v1/deck/from-pdf`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.slideforge.dev`
- URL: `https://api.slideforge.dev/v1/deck/from-pdf`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in header `X-API-Key`

Upload a PDF and receive an editable .pptx with the original text, layout, shapes, and images preserved.

Currently supports PDFs exported from slide tools (PowerPoint, Keynote, Google Slides, Canva, LaTeX Beamer, etc.). Text documents are not converted: to turn a document into slides, let the calling assistant read it and send the slides as intents.

**Max file size:** 50 MB.

- `202`: Extraction queued
- `400`: Invalid PDF (size, format, corrupted)
- `402`: Insufficient balance
- `413`: File too large
- `422`: Unsupported PDF source (not a PowerPoint export)
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded
