# Rename a trailer (free).

`PATCH /trailers/{jobId}`

## Request

Renames a trailer: the name every list of the project's videos shows it by. A display name only: its plan, its review and its video never read it, so nothing goes out of date and nothing renders. Free and reversible; `title: null` gives it back the name made from its theme and length. Versions that share a name are listed together, so a new name lists this one on its own. Any status. Scope: `story:write`.

## Request body

- ArtifactRenameRequest: A new name. A pitch deck or trailer takes null (or an empty string) to go back to its automatic name; a plan and a result always keep one.
  - `title` string, nullable, required: The new name, at most 200 characters (trimmed).

## Response `200`

The trailer's name now.

- RenamedVideo: A pitch deck or trailer after its rename.
  - `jobId` string, required
  - `title` string, nullable, required: The writer's own name for it, or null when it is named automatically.
  - `name` string, required: The name every list shows now: `title`, or the automatic one.

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing, malformed, revoked, or expired API key.
- `403`: API key is valid but lacks the scope, is blocked by IP allowlist, or the account is disabled.
- `404`: The named project or source does not exist or is owned by another account.
- `429`: Rate limit for this API key + IP + route family was exceeded.
- `500`: The API failed unexpectedly. Safe to retry with the same Idempotency-Key.
