# Delete a trailer job you own.

`DELETE /trailers/{jobId}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://docs.sleeperhit.studio/api/v1`
- URL: `https://docs.sleeperhit.studio/api/v1/trailers/{jobId}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Removes a trailer you will not pursue: a failed or abandoned attempt, a draft, or one rendering, finishing or in review. Irreversible: its takes and masters go with it. TWO CALLS, quoted first: Deleting it first stops anything still rendering or finishing, and every credit held for work that had not run comes back to your balance (`releasedCredits`). Sent without `confirmed` the delete only QUOTES — it names what is still there and what the delete would take, and changes nothing; sent again with `confirmed: true` it deletes. Call it only after the writer has seen the quote and said delete. Sent WITHOUT `?confirmed=true` the answer is the delete quote (`quotedOnly: true`, the trailer's state, what the delete would stop and give back) and NOTHING is deleted; with it, the answer is the delete (`releasedCredits`, `note`). A PUBLISHED trailer is refused with a validation error on either call: unpublish it first, its share link is live.

## Query parameters

- `confirmed` boolean

## Response `200`

The delete quote (`quotedOnly: true`, nothing deleted) or, with `?confirmed=true`, the deleted job id and the credits that came back.

- union
  - VideoDeleteQuote: The DELETE call's first answer, sent without `confirmed`: what a delete of this deck or trailer WOULD do. Nothing was stopped, released or deleted. - `jobId` string, required
    - `quotedOnly` true, required: The fact that NOTHING was deleted. Delete for real with `?confirmed=true`.
    - `kind` 'pitch deck' | 'trailer', required
    - `title` string, nullable, required: The writer's own name for it, when they gave one; null means it goes by its automatic name.
    - `status` string, required: The job status the delete would take.
    - `rendering` boolean, required: True while a render or finish is running: the delete would stop it.
    - `releasingCredits` integer, required: Credits held right now for work that had not run — what a delete would give back.
    - `note` string, required: Read it to the writer: what the delete would take and give back, and that nothing changed.
  - VideoDeleteResult: A deleted pitch deck or trailer. Deleting it first stops anything still rendering or finishing, and every credit held for work that had not run comes back to your balance (`releasedCredits`).
    - `jobId` string, required
    - `success` true, required
    - `releasedCredits` integer, required: Credits that were held for work that had not run (its render, plates, finish, text renders and automatic-fix allowance), given back to the writer's balance.
    - `note` string, required: Read it to the writer: what was deleted and the credits that came back.
