# Delete a story project (restorable for 30 days, then purged with its episodes).

`DELETE /story-projects/{projectId}`

## Request

The project is hidden at once: it leaves list responses, reads return `project_not_found`, and its feed, show page, decks and share links stop answering. It can be restored for 30 days (`restorableUntil`; POST /story-projects/{projectId}/restore, GET /story-projects/deleted), then it is purged with its Series Bible, cast, mood board, sources, app captures, stored app logins, plans, season runs, show, decks, trailers, destination videos and their stored files — and with its episodes: during the window each script is private and comes back with the project; at the purge it is deleted with everything under it (`episodesAtPurge`). Archiving (PATCH `archived: true`) only hides a project. Free.

## Response `200`

The project is deleted and restorable until `restorableUntil`.

  - `episodesAtPurge` integer, required: Episodes that go with the project: private during the window, restored with it or deleted at the purge.

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing, malformed, revoked, or expired API key.
- `403`: API key is valid but lacks the scope, is blocked by IP allowlist, or the account is disabled.
- `404`: The named project or source does not exist or is owned by another account.
- `429`: Rate limit for this API key + IP + route family was exceeded.
- `500`: The API failed unexpectedly. Safe to retry with the same Idempotency-Key.
