# Start connecting a product: a link for a person to open.

`POST /integrations/providers/{slug}/connect`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://docs.sleeperhit.studio/api/v1`

- Auth: HTTP bearer

Open the link in a browser where you are signed in to Sleeper Hit as the same person, approve the product's screen, and you land back on the Integrations page to choose what to bring in. The connection is not made until that browser step finishes. Owners and admins only (403 `integration_forbidden`). 409 `integration_unavailable` for a product that is not switched on or not readable yet, or already connected (reconnect it from the app instead). Scope: `story:write`. Free.

## Request body

- IntegrationConnectRequest
  - `returnTo` string: An app path to land on afterwards (default /dashboard/integrations).

## Response `200`

The link to open, and the pending connection it completes.

- IntegrationConnectResult
  - `integrationId` string, required
  - `authorizeUrl` string, required: For a PERSON to open in a browser.
  - `instructions` string, required

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing, malformed, revoked, or expired API key.
- `403`: API key is valid but lacks the scope, is blocked by IP allowlist, or the account is disabled.
- `409`: `integration_unavailable` or `organization_required`.
- `429`: Rate limit for this API key + IP + route family was exceeded.
- `500`: The API failed unexpectedly. Safe to retry with the same Idempotency-Key.
