# Queue a brand-storytelling coverage analysis.

`POST /brand-coverage`

## Request

Analyzes a piece of brand/marketing narrative (landing copy, a brand film script, a founder pitch, a case study) across eight craft dimensions. Async + queued: returns `{ reportId, status: "generating" }`; poll GET /brand-coverage/{reportId} until terminal. Content is capped at 60k chars. Requires `Idempotency-Key`. Scope: `story:write`.

## Request body

- BrandCoverageRequest: A piece of brand/marketing narrative to analyze.
  - `contentText` string, required: The brand/marketing narrative (copy, script, pitch, case study). Up to 60k chars.
  - `contentType` string: What it is, e.g. "landing page", "30s spot", "founder pitch".
  - `audience` string: The target audience, e.g. "engineering leaders at mid-market SaaS".
  - `industry` string: The industry, e.g. "B2B SaaS", "healthcare".
  - `channel` string: The delivery channel/format, e.g. "website", "email", "out-of-home".
  - `brandVoice` string: Brand voice / values to judge consistency against.
  - `storyProjectId` string: The project to file the report under (yours): the project's brand coverage list (GET /story-projects/{projectId}/brand-coverage) finds it there.

## Response `200`

Brand coverage analysis queued.

- BrandCoverageAck: Acknowledgement that a brand coverage analysis was queued.
  - `reportId` string, required
  - `status` string, required: e.g. "generating"; poll GET /brand-coverage/{reportId} until terminal.

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing, malformed, revoked, or expired API key.
- `403`: API key is valid but lacks the scope, is blocked by IP allowlist, or the account is disabled.
- `429`: Rate limit for this API key + IP + route family was exceeded.
- `500`: The API failed unexpectedly. Safe to retry with the same Idempotency-Key.
