# Retry a recoverable knowledge document ingestion

`POST /v1/knowledge-documents/{document_id}/retry`

Queues a fresh generation only when the document is in a safe retryable state or its ready row is missing/has lost its derived normalized-text artifact. It does not retry a healthy searchable document and it never exposes parser, provider, or storage exception text.
