# Get External Radio by Serial

`GET /v0/external_radio/{external_radio_serial}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.skydio.com/api`

- Auth: API key in header `Authorization`

Fetch metadata about a single External Radio by its serial.

## Path parameters

- `external_radio_serial` string, required

## Response `200`

External Radio returned from GET /external_radio endpoint

  - `data` object, required: External Radio returned from GET /external_radio endpoint
    - `external_radio` object, required
      - `device_health_status` 'No Known Issues' | 'Limited Operation' | 'Inoperable' | 'Out of Service' | 'Unknown': Overall health status of the External Radio.
      - `external_radio_name` string: Display name / nickname of the External Radio. Defaults to its serial.
      - `external_radio_serial` string, required: Skydio serial number of the External Radio.
      - `is_online` boolean: Whether or not the External Radio has a direct connection to the internet.
      - `location` object: Last known GPS location of the External Radio. Available when the radio has recently reported a GPS fix.
        - `elevation` number, required: Elevation in meters above mean sea level (EGM96 geoid).
        - `latitude` number, required: Latitude in degrees.
        - `longitude` number, required: Longitude in degrees.
      - `mac_address` string, mac-address: MAC address of the External Radio's Ethernet interface.
      - `vehicle` object: Vehicle linked to this External Radio, if any.
        - `vehicle_class` 'Skydio R1' | 'Skydio 2' | 'Skydio X2' | 'Skydio X10' | 'Skydio R10', required
        - `vehicle_name` string
        - `vehicle_serial` string, required
  - `error_message` string
  - `meta` object, required
    - `time` number
  - `skydio_error_code` integer, required
  - `status_code` integer, required
