# Kit - Update

`PUT /kit/update`

Update an existing kit's properties such as name, weight, or component items.

## Request body

- object
  - `data` object, required — Kit data to update (must include _id, kit_id, listing_sku, or sku to identify the kit)
    - `_id` string — Kit ID (one of _id, kit_id, listing_sku, or sku required)
    - `kit_id` string — Kit ID (alias for _id)
    - `listing_sku` string — Listing SKU (used to look up kit if _id not provided)
    - `sku` string — SKU (alias for listing_sku)

## Response `200`

Kit updated

- object
  - `success` boolean, required — Whether the operation succeeded

## Other responses

- `400` — Bad request
- `401` — Unauthorized
- `403` — Forbidden. Insufficient permissions.
- `429` — Too many requests. Rate limit exceeded.
- `500` — Internal server error.
