# Location - Add Item

`POST /location/add_item`

Assign an item to a warehouse location.

## Request body

- object
  - `id` string, required — Location ID
  - `item_id` string, required — SKULabs item ID to add
  - `on_hand` number, required — Initial on-hand quantity
  - `alert` number — Low-stock alert level

## Response `200`

Item added to location successfully

- object
  - `success` boolean, required — Whether the operation succeeded

## Other responses

- `400` — Bad request
- `401` — Unauthorized
- `403` — Forbidden. Insufficient permissions.
- `429` — Too many requests. Rate limit exceeded.
- `500` — Internal server error.
