# Kit - Add Item

`POST /kit/add_item`

Add a component item to an existing kit.

## Request body

- object
  - `kit_id` string, required — Kit ID
  - `item_id` string, required — Item ID to add
  - `quantity` number, required — Quantity of the item in the kit

## Response `200`

Item added to kit

- object
  - `success` boolean, required — Whether the operation succeeded

## Other responses

- `400` — Bad request
- `401` — Unauthorized
- `403` — Forbidden. Insufficient permissions.
- `429` — Too many requests. Rate limit exceeded.
- `500` — Internal server error.
