# Item - Find By Barcode

`GET /item/find_by_barcode`

Look up an item by its barcode (UPC, EAN, ISBN, or custom barcode).

## Query parameters

- `barcode` string, required — Barcode to search for

## Response `200`

Items matching the barcode

- ItemBarcodeResult[]
  - `_id` string, required — Item ID
  - `sku` string — Item SKU
  - `upc` string — Primary barcode
  - `serial_numbers` string[] — Serial numbers
  - `barcodes` string[] — Additional barcodes

## Other responses

- `400` — Bad request
- `401` — Unauthorized
- `403` — Forbidden. Insufficient permissions.
- `429` — Too many requests. Rate limit exceeded.
- `500` — Internal server error.
