# Distributor - Add Item

`PUT /distributor/add_item`

Add an item to a distributor's catalog with supplier-specific SKU, cost, and lead time.

## Request body

- object
  - `data` object, required — Item data to add to the supplier
    - `distributor_id` string — Supplier ID
    - `id` string — Supplier ID (legacy parameter, use distributor_id)
    - `item_id` string — SKULabs item ID
    - `cost` number — Unit cost from this supplier
    - `quantity` number — Default order quantity
    - `minimum_quantity` number — Minimum order quantity
    - `lot_quantity` number — Lot quantity for ordering
    - `part_number` string — Supplier part number / MPN
    - `reorder_point` number — Inventory level that triggers a reorder
    - `reorder_rule` string — Reorder rule expression
    - `notes` string — Notes for this supplier item

## Response `200`

Item added to supplier successfully

  - `success` boolean, required — Whether the operation succeeded

## Other responses

- `400` — Bad request
- `401` — Unauthorized
- `403` — Forbidden. Insufficient permissions.
- `429` — Too many requests. Rate limit exceeded.
- `500` — Internal server error.
