# Import a skill from GitHub

`POST /api/v1/skills/import-from-github`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.skills-hub.ai`
- URL: `https://api.skills-hub.ai/api/v1/skills/import-from-github`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in header `Authorization`

Clones a public GitHub repo, parses a `SKILL.md`, and creates a `DRAFT` skill owned by the caller. Authenticated. Body: `repoUrl` (required) plus optional `path` to the SKILL.md within the repo.

## Response `200`

Successful response. The returned fields are described in this endpoint's summary/description; typed per-field response schemas are being added incrementally.
