# Create a skill version

`POST /api/v1/skills/{slug}/versions`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.skills-hub.ai`
- URL: `https://api.skills-hub.ai/api/v1/skills/{slug}/versions`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in header `Authorization`

Publishes a new, higher semver version of a skill with updated instructions and optional changelog. Restricted to the author, an org `PUBLISHER`+, or an admin. Runs AI review; in orgs that gate modifications, a non-admin's version is held pending approval. Notifies installers of the update.

Successful response. The returned fields are described in this endpoint's summary/description; typed per-field response schemas are being added incrementally.
