# Get a single file from a skill version

`GET /api/v1/skills/{slug}/versions/{version}/files/{*}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.skills-hub.ai`
- URL: `https://api.skills-hub.ai/api/v1/skills/{slug}/versions/{version}/files/{*}`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in header `Authorization`

Returns the content of one file within a published skill version, keyed by the relative path captured after `files/` (nested paths allowed). Public, honors skill visibility, and rejects path-traversal attempts with `400 INVALID_PATH`.

## Response `200`
