# Update skill metadata

`PATCH /api/v1/skills/{slug}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.skills-hub.ai`
- URL: `https://api.skills-hub.ai/api/v1/skills/{slug}`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in header `Authorization`

Updates a skill's metadata (name, description, category, platforms, visibility, tags, source URLs, etc.). Restricted to the skill author, an org `PUBLISHER`+ for org skills, or an admin. Changing the source URL resets source verification.
