# Delete an organization

`DELETE /api/v1/orgs/{slug}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.skills-hub.ai`
- URL: `https://api.skills-hub.ai/api/v1/orgs/{slug}`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in header `Authorization`

Permanently deletes the organization. Its skills are detached and made `PRIVATE` rather than deleted. Requires the `ADMIN` org role. The deletion is recorded in the org audit log.

## Path parameters

- `slug` string, required

## Response `200`

Successful response. The returned fields are described in this endpoint's summary/description; typed per-field response schemas are being added incrementally.
