# Request a password reset email

`POST /api/v1/auth/forgot-password`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.skills-hub.ai`
- URL: `https://api.skills-hub.ai/api/v1/auth/forgot-password`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in header `Authorization`

Public. Sends a password-reset link if an account exists for the given `email`. Always returns `{ success: true }` regardless of whether the address is registered, to prevent account enumeration.

## Response `200`

Successful response. The returned fields are described in this endpoint's summary/description; typed per-field response schemas are being added incrementally.
