# Generate a full skill from a prompt

`POST /api/v1/ai/generate`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.skills-hub.ai`
- URL: `https://api.skills-hub.ai/api/v1/ai/generate`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in header `Authorization`

Authenticated. Uses AI to generate all skill fields (name, description, tags, instructions) from a natural-language `prompt`. Enforces a daily per-user generation quota — returns `429` once the cap is exceeded; only successful generations count against it.

## Response `200`

Successful response. The returned fields are described in this endpoint's summary/description; typed per-field response schemas are being added incrementally.
