# Which release this page or host should run, unauthenticated

`GET /v1/update/release`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.sixminute.ai` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.sixminute.ai/v1/update/release`
- Auth: none declared

The release's one question (ruling 6.34): `key` is the host table the caller speaks (`unkeyed` for every page a three-process host loads), `version` its own release where it has one. `current` is the release that key runs now, or null when it has none; `state` is `current`, `available` (offer Restart) or `required` (superseded 7 days, withdrawn, or older than an urgent release); `expired` says the caller's release is past 14 days and its page is no longer served. Open and never refused by the version floor. 503 while the release index cannot be read.

## Query parameters

- `key` union, required
  - 'unkeyed'
  - string
- `version` string
- `device` string

## Response `200`

The release to run, and the caller's state.

- object
  - `current` object, nullable, required
    - `version` string, required
    - `key` union, required
      - 'unkeyed'
      - string
    - `promoted_at` string, date-time, required
    - `desktop` string, nullable, required
  - `state` 'current' | 'available' | 'required', required
  - `expired` boolean, required

## Other responses

- `400`: The body, query or path did not validate; `errors` lists the fields.
- `503`: A capability this service was not configured with, or a practice system that could not be reached; the `type` says which.
