# The device's check-in: alive, capturing, and the policy when it moved

`POST /v1/device/check-in`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.sixminute.ai` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.sixminute.ai/v1/device/check-in`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

A device route, as the context upload; `Origin` is refused. Sent every 60 seconds while the app runs and once at quit. The credential's call stamps the device's last call and version. Answers the firm's policy with its `policy_version` when the device's differs, else `policy: null`. A check-in with `open_days: true` is answered `open_days`, the person's open days on this device for the timesheet pet: empty where none is open or the pet is off for them. A check-in that does not ask is answered without it.

## Other responses

- `400`: The body, query or path did not validate; `errors` lists the fields.
- `401`: No bearer token, or one that does not verify or has expired.
- `403`: The token verified but may not do this: no organisation, not provisioned, wrong role, or a device problem.
