# Sync your own matters from the firm's practice system (any role)

`POST /v1/connector/account/sync`

## Request

For a firm whose practice system each member signs in to: the caller's own sync, run inside this request. Their complete list of matters is compared with the system (a matter that left their sight is withdrawn, a new one opened), what changed is brought up to date, and the firm's shared lists are read when they are due. A matter's details are read once per firm: where a colleague's sync already holds them, only the ids are read. It is the request a client sends straight after `PUT /v1/connector/account` answered, and need not wait for: `GET /v1/connector/sync/progress` says how far it is, and a client that goes away leaves the read to the next scheduled run, which takes a member no read was tried for first. The answer is the caller's progress as it stands when the request ends. Where a read as the caller is already running, nothing is started and the answer is that read's progress. 404 while the firm has no connector, one the firm connected once, or while the caller is not signed in to it.

## Other responses

- `401`: No bearer token, or one that does not verify or has expired.
- `403`: The token verified but may not do this: no organisation, not provisioned, wrong role, or a device problem.
- `404`: No such row for this tenant.
- `422`: The request is well-formed but cannot be carried out as it stands.
