# Get monitoring point information

`GET /sites/{site_id}/monitoring-points/{monitoring_point_id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.sitehive.co` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)

Returns information about a specific monitoring identified by its `monitoring_point_id`.

## Response `200`

A monitoring point at a site where devices are installed to collect measurements.

- Def4: A monitoring point at a site where devices are installed to collect measurements.
  - `id` string, required: Unique identifier for the monitoring point.
  - `name` string, required: The name of the monitoring point.
  - `latitude` number, float, required: Latitude coordinate of the monitoring point in decimal degrees.
  - `longitude` number, float, required: Longitude coordinate of the monitoring point in decimal degrees.
  - `deviceAssignments` object[], required: List of devices assigned to this monitoring point with their assignment periods.
    - `id` string, required: Unique identifier for the device.
    - `serial` string, required: Serial number of the device.
    - `startDate` string, date-time, required: ISO 8601 UTC timestamp marking when the device assignment started.
    - `endDate` string, date-time, required: ISO 8601 UTC timestamp marking when the device assignment ended. Null if still active.

## Other responses

- `401`: Returned when a request attempts to access a protected resource without providing authentication credentials.
- `403`: Returned when an authenticated request is denied due to insufficient permissions or access rights.
- `404`: Returned when a requested resource does not exist or cannot be located.
