# Reject an entity

`POST /api/entities/{id}/lifecycle/reject`

## Request

Rejects an entity in the <i>review</i> state. A reason for the rejection must be provided. Requires the<i>Reject</i> permission.

## Path parameters

- `id` integer, required

## Request body

- RejectEntityRequest: The reject request containing the reason for the rejection.
  - `reason` string, nullable: The reason for the rejection.

## Response `200`

Entity rejected successfully

## Other responses

- `400`: Request not valid
- `401`: Unauthorized request
- `403`: Insufficient permission
- `404`: Entity not found or user not authorized
