# Get a fax number (Stripe Checkout)

`POST /api/v1/numbers`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://singlefax.com`
- URL: `https://singlefax.com/api/v1/numbers`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `Authorization`
  - HTTP bearer

Reserve a dedicated fax number. Sufficient account credit pays one-time purchases without Stripe Checkout; otherwise returns checkoutUrl. Default sku inbound_30day. Also lifetime and subscription number SKUs. Optional country US|CA and state. Requires credits:checkout. Same as MCP create_inbound_number.
