# Media · Video · Auto-add B-roll footage to a video

`POST /api/v1/tools/add-b-rolls-video`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.simplified.com`
- URL: `https://api.simplified.com/api/v1/tools/add-b-rolls-video`
- Auth: API key in header `Authorization`

Analyzes the video or script and automatically inserts relevant B-roll clips.
Provide either media_url (existing video) or asset (asset ID). Returns a task_id.

## Request body

- object
  - `title` string, required: Title or topic of the video (used to source relevant B-roll).
  - `media_url` string: URL of the source video to add B-roll to.
  - `asset` string: Asset ID of the source video (alternative to media_url).
  - `language_code` string: Language of the video content (e.g. "en", "es"). Default "en".
  - `should_export` boolean: Whether to export the final video. Default true.

## Response `202`

Async task queued.

  - `task_id` string, required: Poll GET /api/v1/tasks/{task_id} until SUCCESS or FAILURE.
