# PM · Tasks · Get a task by UUID or slug; use ?expand= for assignees, tags, subtasks

`GET /api/v1/pm/tasks/{task_id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.simplified.com`
- URL: `https://api.simplified.com/api/v1/pm/tasks/{task_id}`
- Auth: API key in header `Authorization`

Retrieve a single task by UUID or slug. Default response is lean — use
`?expand=` to pull nested data inline:
`assignees` (user objects), `tags` (name list), `subtasks`, `attachments`,
`time_tracking`, `status_details`, `board`.
Multiple fields: `?expand=assignees,tags,time_tracking`.
