# PM · Tasks · Soft-delete a task (irreversible via API)

`DELETE /api/v1/pm/tasks/{task_id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.simplified.com`
- URL: `https://api.simplified.com/api/v1/pm/tasks/{task_id}`
- Auth: API key in header `Authorization`

Soft-delete a task. The task is marked deleted and excluded from normal
queries but not immediately purged. Subtasks, attachments, and dependencies
are cleaned up asynchronously. This action is not reversible via the API.
