# PM · Statuses · Add a new status column to a board (returns ID needed for createTask)

`POST /api/v1/pm/boards/{board_id}/status`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.simplified.com`
- URL: `https://api.simplified.com/api/v1/pm/boards/{board_id}/status`
- Auth: API key in header `Authorization`

Add a new column to a board. Required field: `title`. Optional: `color`
(hex string e.g. `#008CD3`), `order` (integer position; appended at end if omitted).
The new status `id` is returned and should be cached — it is required for
`createTask` and `searchTasks`.

## Request body

- StatusCreateRequest: Create a status column on a board. Board is inferred from the `boardId` path parameter.
  - `title` string, required
  - `description` string
  - `color` string: Hex color string.
  - `order` integer: Optional explicit order index.
