# Triggers · Delete a trigger

`DELETE /api/v1/triggers/{trigger_id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://kd-agents.simplified.com`
- URL: `https://kd-agents.simplified.com/api/v1/triggers/{trigger_id}`
- Auth: API key in header `Authorization`

Deletes the trigger. The agent itself survives and simply stops running on its
own.

**Permanent**, and it discards the configuration. System-managed schedules
cannot be deleted.

`resource: agent://build-guide` covers stopping a trigger reversibly instead.
