The market over time: market cap and traded volume of the tracked universe, session by session (week by week over 5 years). `dates`, `total` (cap, volume, count), `groups` = what makes up the total — the sectors (`sector=all`) or the sector's companies, largest first, the rest as "others" —, `leaders` = largest market caps (their weight in the total over time). A day's market cap = the close adjusted for splits only (the traded price) × shares outstanding on that date (SEC filings), scaled to the share count the desk uses today: the last value is the desk's market cap. Volume = close × volume (over 5 years: average volume per session of the week). Amounts in dollars. Built once per session.

The data, as JSON. Read the conventions above before reading a field: changes and ratios are fractions, and null means unavailable — never zero.
