# Get document audit trail

`GET /v1/documents/{id}/audit`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.signvoy.com`
- URL: `https://api.signvoy.com/v1/documents/{id}/audit`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `X-Workspace-Id`
  - HTTP bearer
  - HTTP bearer

Returns the ordered chain-of-custody events (sent, viewed, signed, declined, etc.) for the document

  - `documentId` string, uuid, required
  - `documentRecipientId` string, uuid, nullable
  - `type` string, required: Event type
  - `actorName` string, nullable
  - `actorEmail` string, nullable
  - `apiKeyId` string, uuid, nullable: API key that performed the action (when applicable)
  - `apiKeyName` string, nullable: Human-readable name of the API key used (when applicable)
  - `ipAddress` string, nullable
  - `userAgent` string, nullable
  - `metadata` object, nullable
  - `createdAt` string, date-time, required

## Other responses

- `403`: Forbidden - Not the document owner
- `404`: Document not found
