# Reset password

`POST /user/forgotpassword`

## Request

This endpoint allows API users to send a password reset link to a user's email address.

## Request body

- object
  - `email` string, email, required: user's email address that receives the password reset link

## Response `200`

The password reset link was sent, if an account with this email address exists.

- object
  - `status` string: Result of the request. Always `success`.

## Other responses

- `400`: Request with incorrect or missing email.
