# Create Subscriber SIP credential

`POST /api/fabric/resources/subscribers/{fabric_subscriber_id}/sip_endpoints`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://{Your_Space_Name}.signalwire.com`
- URL: `https://{Your_Space_Name}.signalwire.com/api/fabric/resources/subscribers/{fabric_subscriber_id}/sip_endpoints`
- Auth: HTTP basic

Creates a SIP Credential owned by a specified [Subscriber](/docs/platform/subscribers), allowing that subscriber's SIP device to register with SignalWire. Use it for per-subscriber devices; use [Create SIP credential](/docs/apis/rest/sip-credentials/create-sip-credential) for a project-scoped credential not tied to a subscriber.

#### Permissions

The API token used to authenticate must have the following scope(s) enabled to make a successful request: _Voice_, _Messaging_, _Fax_, or _Video_.

## Path parameters

- `fabric_subscriber_id` string, uuid, required: Universal Unique Identifier.

## Request body

- SubscriberSipEndpointRequest
  - `username` string, required: Username of the Sip Endpoint.
  - `password` string, required: Password of the Sip Endpoint.
  - `caller_id` string: Caller ID of the Sip Endpoint.
  - `send_as` string: The Number to send as.
  - `ciphers` Ciphers[]: Ciphers of the Sip Endpoint.
  - `codecs` Codecs[]: Codecs of the Sip Endpoint.
  - `encryption` 'required' | 'optional' | 'default'

## Response `201`

The request has succeeded and a new resource has been created as a result.

  - `id` string, uuid, required: Universal Unique Identifier.
  - `username` string, required: Username of the Sip Endpoint.
  - `caller_id` string, required: Caller ID of the Sip Endpoint.
  - `send_as` string, required: Purchased or verified number
  - `ciphers` Ciphers[], required: Ciphers of the Sip Endpoint.
  - `codecs` Codecs[], required: Codecs of the Sip Endpoint.
  - `encryption` 'required' | 'optional' | 'default', required

## Other responses

- `401`: Access is unauthorized.
- `404`: The server cannot find the requested resource.
- `422`: The request contains invalid parameters. See errors for details.
- `500`: An internal server error occurred.
