# Create a Queue.

`POST /Accounts/{AccountSid}/Queues`

Create a call queue.

#### Permissions
The API token must include the following scopes: _Voice_.

## Path parameters

- `AccountSid` string, uuid, required

## Request body

- CreateQueueRequest — Request body for creating a queue.
  - `FriendlyName` string, required — A description that distinguishes a queue.
  - `MaxSize` string — The maximum number of calls that are allowed to wait in a queue.

## Response `200`

The request has succeeded.

- QueueResponse — Response containing a single queue.
  - `account_sid` string — The unique identifier for the account this Queue is associated with.
  - `average_wait_time` string — The average wait time, in seconds, of callers in a queue.
  - `current_size` string — The number of calls waiting in the queue.
  - `date_created` string — The date and time, in ISO 8601 format, the Queue was created.
  - `date_updated` string — The date and time, in ISO 8601 format, the Queue was updated.
  - `friendly_name` string — A description that distinguishes a queue.
  - `max_size` string — The maximum number of calls that are allowed to wait in a queue.
  - `sid` string — The unique identifier for the queue.
  - `uri` string — The URL of this resource.

## Other responses

- `400` — 400 Bad Request response.
- `401` — 401 Unauthorized response.
