# Retrieve a Transcription

`GET /Accounts/{AccountSid}/Transcriptions/{Sid}`

Retrieve a single recording transcription.

#### Permissions

The API token used to authenticate must have the following scope(s) enabled to make a successful request: _Voice_.

## Path parameters

- `AccountSid` string, uuid, required
- `Sid` string, uuid, required

## Response `200`

The request has succeeded.

- TranscriptionResponse — Response containing a single transcription.
  - `sid` string, uuid, required — The unique identifier for the transcription.
  - `account_sid` string, uuid, required — The unique identifier for the account that created this transcription.
  - `api_version` string, required — The version of the SignalWire API.
  - `recording_sid` string, uuid, required — The unique identifier for the recording that this transcription was created from.
  - `date_created` string, required — The date, in RFC 2822 format, this transcription was created.
  - `date_updated` string, required — The date, in RFC 2822 format, this transcription was updated.
  - `duration` integer, required — The duration, in seconds, of the transcribed audio.
  - `price` string, nullable, required — The charge for the transcription. Null if cost has not been calculated.
  - `price_unit` string, required — The currency, in ISO 4217 format, for the price of the transcription.
  - `status` string, required — The status of the transcription. Always 'completed' for transcriptions returned by the API.
  - `transcription_text` string, nullable, required — The text content of the transcription. Null if transcription text is not available.
  - `type` string, required — The type of the transcription. Currently always an empty string.
  - `uri` string, required — The URI of this resource, relative to the API base URL.

## Other responses

- `400` — The request was invalid or cannot be processed. Check the error details for more information.
- `401` — Authentication failed. Please verify your credentials and try again.
- `404` — The requested resource was not found. Please verify the resource identifier.
