# Retrieve Message Media

`GET /Accounts/{AccountSid}/Messages/{MessageSid}/Media/{Sid}`

Retrieves one MMS attachment by message SID and media SID. Use [List Message Media](/docs/compatibility-api/rest/message-media/list-media) to discover media SIDs; this endpoint does not retrieve fax documents or voice recordings.

#### Permissions

The API token used to authenticate must have the following scope(s) enabled to make a successful request: _Messaging_.

## Path parameters

- `AccountSid` string, uuid, required — Universal Unique Identifier.
- `MessageSid` string, uuid, required — Universal Unique Identifier.
- `Sid` string, uuid, required — Universal Unique Identifier.

## Response `200`

The request has succeeded.

- MessageMediaResponse — Response containing a single message media.
  - `account_sid` string, uuid, required — Universal Unique Identifier.
  - `content_type` string, required — The content type of the media.
  - `date_created` string, required — The date, in RFC 2822 GMT format, this media was created.
  - `date_updated` string, required — The date, in RFC 2822 GMT format, this media was updated.
  - `parent_sid` string, uuid, required — Universal Unique Identifier.
  - `sid` string, uuid, required — Universal Unique Identifier.
  - `uri` string, required — The URI for the media.

## Other responses

- `400` — The request was invalid or cannot be processed. Check the error details for more information.
- `401` — Authentication failed. Please verify your credentials and try again.
- `404` — The requested resource was not found. Please verify the resource identifier.
