# Abandon an un-confirmed split — revert the bundle to a normal document

`POST /internal/api/document/{document_id}/cancel-split`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.signalshq.io` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)

Reverts an AWAITING_SPLIT bundle (split started but never confirmed) back to a STANDALONE document, clearing the dormant 'Finish splitting' state. Rejects a CONFIRMED bundle (delete or re-split it instead); idempotent if the document is not awaiting split.
